Company Overview:

Guardian Centers of Georgia LLC is seeking an experienced Disaster Response Coordinator to provide leadership and coordination in disaster response operations and training. This contract position requires a professional with significant experience in managing disaster preparedness and response activities, including the coordination of emergency services during natural and man-made disasters.

Position Description:

As a Disaster Response Coordination Instructor, you will be responsible for providing training in disaster preparedness and response. You will lead efforts to ensure that military, law enforcement, and emergency personnel are adequately trained and prepared to handle large-scale disasters and emergencies.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop training materials for disaster response activities.
  • Deliver training in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery operations to military, law enforcement, and emergency personnel.
  • Instruct personnel in disaster planning, risk assessment, and response strategies, including resource allocation.
  • Lead disaster simulation exercises, including natural disasters (hurricanes, earthquakes) and man-made incidents (terrorism, industrial accidents).
  • Conduct after-action reviews (AARs) and provide feedback on student performance.
  • Maintain accurate training records.
  • Ensure readiness of disaster response equipment and supplies used for training.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in disaster response or emergency management.
  • Proven experience in coordinating large-scale disaster response efforts.
  • Familiarity with FEMA's National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) preferred.
  • Certifications in disaster response or emergency management (e.g., Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), FEMA ICS training) are a plus.
  • Ability to instruct personnel in high-stress, disaster environments.
  • Experience in collaborating with local, state, and federal agencies in disaster response.
  • Proficiency in disaster logistics, risk management, and resource coordination.
