Company Overview:
Guardian Centers of Georgia LLC is seeking an experienced EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Instructor to provide advanced training in bomb disposal, hazardous device mitigation, and explosive safety. This contract position requires individuals with significant EOD experience who can train military, law enforcement, and security personnel in high-risk scenarios involving explosive devices, hazardous materials, and convoy operations to counter IED threats.
Position Description:
As an EOD Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering specialized training in the identification, handling, and disposal of explosive devices, with a focus on countering threats in convoy operations. You will instruct personnel in the latest techniques for EOD operations, including threat assessment, bomb disposal, and convoy procedures designed to detect, avoid, and neutralize IEDs. Your role will involve both classroom instruction and hands-on field training to ensure that trainees are fully prepared to manage real-world explosive threats in various environments.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction in EOD operations, including bomb disposal, threat assessment, and hazardous material handling.
- Train personnel in convoy operations with a focus on detecting, avoiding, and countering IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices).
- Deliver hands-on training in bomb suit operations, robot deployment, and render-safe procedures.
- Instruct trainees in the use of EOD tools and equipment, including x-ray systems, disruptors, detection devices, and convoy security tools.
- Lead training exercises in explosive range operations and convoy scenarios, ensuring a safe and controlled training environment.
- Conduct simulated convoy missions to practice IED detection, avoidance, and countermeasures.
- Provide instruction on post-blast analysis, safe route selection, and convoy debriefing procedures.
- Conduct after-action reviews (AARs) to evaluate student performance and provide feedback on EOD and convoy training scenarios.
- Maintain accurate training records.
- Ensure readiness and maintenance of EOD and convoy equipment and tools used in training exercises.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in EOD operations, bomb disposal, or hazardous materials mitigation, including convoy operations.
- Certified EOD Technician (U.S. military or equivalent).
- Proven expertise in IED detection, convoy security, explosive device neutralization, and explosive safety procedures.
- Familiarity with advanced EOD tools and equipment, including bomb suits, robots, x-ray devices, and convoy security systems.
- U.S. military EOD experience preferred (e.g., Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps EOD units) with convoy operations experience.
- Ability to conduct and instruct personnel in high-risk, high-stress environments, particularly during convoy operations.
- Proficiency in EOD protocols, threat assessments, convoy security tactics, and emergency response techniques.
