Company Overview:

Guardian Centers of Georgia LLC is seeking an experienced Disaster Response Instructor to provide instruction for managing large-scale medical emergencies involving multiple casualties. This contract position requires individuals with significant experience in MCI response who can train military, law enforcement, and emergency medical personnel in mass casualty management.

Position Description:

As a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Responder, you will be responsible for instructing personnel in the management of large-scale emergencies with numerous casualties. You will deliver hands-on training in triage, patient management, and casualty evacuation during mass casualty incidents.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction on medical support during Mass Casualty Incidents (MCI) in high-stress environments.
  • Deliver training in MCI response techniques, including triage, casualty management, and patient stabilization.
  • Instruct personnel in mass casualty triage systems such as START (Simple Triage and Rapid Treatment) and JumpSTART.
  • Train responders on the coordination of casualty evacuation (CASEVAC) and medical stabilization in large-scale emergencies.
  • Lead simulated MCI scenarios, including natural disasters, terrorist attacks, and other mass casualty events.
  • Collaborate with other instructors to integrate MCI training into comprehensive emergency response programs.
  • Conduct after-action reviews (AARs) and provide feedback on student performance.
  • Maintain accurate training records and provide detailed reports on student progress.
  • Ensure readiness of all MCI-related equipment and supplies for training.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a first responder or emergency medical technician (EMT) with a focus on mass casualty management.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale emergency situations and coordinating medical response.
  • Familiarity with mass casualty triage systems such as START and JumpSTART.
  • National Registry Paramedic Certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to instruct personnel in simulated, high-stress environments.
  • Experience with disaster response, emergency preparedness, or homeland security operations is preferred.
  • Proficiency in managing medical supplies and equipment for large-scale emergencies.
  • Knowledge and experience in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Explosives (CBRNE) is highly desirable.
