Company Overview:
Guardian Centers of Georgia LLC is seeking an experienced Search and Rescue Instructor to provide training in search and rescue (SAR) procedures and methods. This contract position is ideal for individuals with experience in executing and instructing search and rescue operations in various environments, including urban, wilderness, and disaster settings.
Position Description:
As a Search and Rescue Instructor, you will be responsible for performing and teaching advanced search and rescue techniques to military, law enforcement, and emergency response personnel. You will lead both classroom and field training in areas such as SAR mission planning, casualty evacuation, and technical rescue.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on instruction in real-world search and rescue (SAR) operations, including urban, wilderness, and disaster environments.
- Deliver training in advanced search and rescue techniques, casualty evacuation (CASEVAC), and technical rescue operations.
- Instruct personnel in SAR mission planning, execution, and risk management.
- Lead simulated rescue scenarios, including collapsed structures, confined spaces, and water rescues.
- Collaborate with other instructors to integrate SAR techniques into comprehensive training programs.
- Conduct after-action reviews (AARs) to evaluate performance and provide feedback to trainees.
- Maintain accurate training records and provide detailed reports on student progress.
- Ensure all SAR equipment is properly maintained and prepared for training.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in search and rescue (SAR) operations.
- Proven expertise in technical rescue, casualty evacuation, and emergency medical care.
- Certifications in relevant SAR areas such as Technical Rescue, Swiftwater Rescue, and Wilderness First Responder are preferred.
- Experience in both military or civilian search and rescue teams is highly desired.
- Ability to train personnel in simulated, high-stress, challenging environments.
- Familiarity with advanced SAR tools and equipment used in rescue missions.
