Position Description:
Guardian Centers is seeking a highly qualified Tactical Medical Instructor to provide advanced tactical medical training for military and law enforcement personnel. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), Combat Lifesaver (CLS) programs, and field medicine. You will be responsible for delivering practical and classroom instruction on a range of medical and trauma care procedures, ensuring students are prepared to manage medical emergencies in tactical environments.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), Combat Lifesaver (CLS), and other tactical medical courses to military and law enforcement personnel.
- Develop and deliver hands-on training sessions, including trauma lanes, live tissue training (LTT), and mass casualty scenarios.
- Conduct training in a variety of environments, including urban, rural, and waterborne operations.
- Teach advanced life support skills, including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS).
- Integrate combat medical principles, including casualty evacuation (CASEVAC), personnel recovery, and prolonged field care.
- Provide subject matter expertise on medical tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) for tactical operations.
- Design, implement, and assess training programs that meet Department of Defense (DoD), Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), and Guardian Angel (GA) standards.
- Collaborate with medical and tactical instructors to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive training experience.
- Conduct after-action reviews (AARs) and provide feedback to trainees on their performance.
- Maintain accurate training records and report metrics on student progress and course effectiveness.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 5+ years of experience in tactical medical instruction or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) protocols and Tactical Emergency Medical Protocols (TMEPS).
- Proven ability to teach combat medicine principles, including trauma management, patient stabilization, and field evacuation.
- Experience with trauma lanes, cadaver lab instruction, and live tissue training.
- Familiarity with advanced life support protocols, including ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
- Ability to conduct training in austere, high-stress environments.
- Strong organizational, communication, and instructional skills.
- Ability to provide clear, actionable feedback to students and peers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite for course planning and reporting.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Emergency Medicine, Nursing, or Tactical Operations).
- 5+ years of relevant tactical medical experience in military or law enforcement settings.
- National Registry Paramedic certification or equivalent.
- Experience in the U.S. military as a Combat Medic, Pararescue Jumper (PJ), or equivalent special operations role preferred.
